... depends upon how you value $300 ;)

The reviews are excellent, but as you note, $300 ($247 on HOTWIRE) is a lot of money for a hotel room.

If you're looking for something a little cheaper, but also very good reviews, you may want to consider the Palomar Westwood for $195/nite. This property has a free wine reception every evening too which is a nice way to end the work day or start a nite out on the town, but it doesn't include breakfast which is another consideration which the HOTWIRE hotel above does.
