Priceline Hotel: Zurich 7/31/13-8/2/13

Tons of time left, but thought I'd start a "failed bid" topic for this stay.

I explored both zones, 5* - 3*, up to $71 today.

Next best options:

Using HOTWIRE's $20 Entertainment bonus, a $98 4* airport

PRICELINE EXPRESS $105 3* airport

Downtown EasyHotel $125 (I've always wanted to try one of those, but not at a premium rate.)

Kayak has a $88 3* that gets bad reviews

I'll probably try every week or so, but won't report back unless something new and interesting occurs.

Just thought other members might want a little bit of company bidding this fairly expensive city.

Friday and Saturday nights are definitely less expensive than weekday nights, but I'm arriving on a Wednesday night, so am dealing with that.

Got the Marriott *5 for 105 a night a few months ago. Booked that one about a month out. It's a typical Marriott, nothing fancy but great at that price.

I'm guessing your Marriott was Central zone, rather than Airport zone?

Maybe you would be so kind as to post your successful bid, even after the fact? I sometimes search on same month/prior year when researching. And I'm sure there are other members who would appreciate the post too.
