I want to stay for 3 nights from 01/19/13 to 01/22/13.I would like to bid on a zone as close to the downtown as possible, but I am very flexible. With so many zones I don't even know where to start. I would like to find a deal and I'm looking for some tips on what price I should start bidding at for an event this size.

If you enter 'Washington DC' into the search box on the top right of this page and look at the zones, do you only want the "White House-Downtown" zone OR are other 'downtown proper' zones such as Convention Center-Capitol Hill' acceptable? What about Dupont Circle-Woodley Park?Using MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel for these dates?
