akc
Hi there, I'm looking for some bidding advice on a four star hotel in Hollywood Florida for two nights 1/15 - 1/17. What is the lowest I should start at? Thanks! Link to comment

akc
The only zone we want to bid on is the Hollywood zone. We would like to stay below $80/night if possible since the parking also seems to be quite pricey. Thanks! Link to comment

thereuare
I think your budget may be tough for this one but to give it a try:When bidding 4* in this region you have FIVE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Hollywood...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $78, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. akc
I went up to $95 using the 5 rebidding zones for the same dates 1/15 - 1/17. Any suggestions, should we wait a few days and try again? Also, we are okay spending &100/night maybe a little more if need be. Any suggestions? Thanks! Link to comment
akc
What do you usually see these rooms go for in Hollywood on Priceline? Just curious to know what the ballpark winning bid is usually, over $100? Link to comment
thereuare
Rates are date specific... using MAPS and HOTELS.com, what is the best available rate you're able to find at an acceptable 4* hotel for your dates? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. akc
Hi there, I have tried bidding up to $105/night for the dates 1/15 - 1/17 in two zones, Hollywood, and Plantation. Neither of these has been a successful bid for a four star hotel. I really didn't want to spend over $105/night, is it possible to get a 4 star in the fort lauderdale area with this budget? Any recommendations & bidding advice would be much appreciated, thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
HOTWIRE has what looks to be the Bonaventure Resort and Spa (previously the Hyatt Bonaventure) for $110/nite, just a touch more than you have already been bidding and in one of the zones you have already bid... is this of interest? If not, what about the Downtown, Beach, and/or Airport zones? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. akc
At this point we are find to stay anywhere in Fort Lauderdale including the Beach and Downtown area. We did this in December and got a priceline deal for $80/night which was great, but parking was a mandatory $21 per day. So, for these areas, I don't want to go too much above $90/night due to the mandatory parking fees at a lot of these places. It was unexpected the first time, this time we're prepared:) Link to comment

akc
Here are the zones we are interested in: Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale Beach Area, Hollywood, West Fort Lauderdale Plantation. We would like to limit our budget to $105/night if possible & prefer Hollywood or West Fort Lauderdale Plantation. Looking for a 4 star 1/15 - 1/17. Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
... prefer Hollywood or West Fort Lauderdale Plantation.Did you want to first bid only these two zones up to your limit, then if rejected start lower and bid the other zones... or does price ultimately prevail and the least expensive 4* or better hotel in any of these zones is your goal? Please confirm and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. av8tor
I'm also looking to book in FLL, but I'm confused on some of the star ratings. This thread listed the Hilton Marina as a 4*, but the Better Bidding Priceline Hotel list shows it as a 3*. When was the last time the hotel list was updated? Link to comment
thereuare
The hotel lists are updated whenever new information is received... but we're human and occasionally miss one. ;)We've updated the Priceline Hotel List with the proper star rating for this property, thanks for letting us know.If you need help with an upcoming stay feel free to start a NEW TOPIC.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
