Jessismama Posted December 30, 2012 Report Posted December 30, 2012 Please help me identify this 3,5 * Hotel in SoHo - Financial District:Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Accessible for the blindIt would be on Hotwire for 179 $ für 2 Adults/2 Kids. My guess is Four Points SoHo. Right? Will it be a good rate for August?Best regards from GermanyJessismama
thereuare Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 If you go back to HOTWIRE and click the SEE DEAL button next to this offer (the one with the price in it), then on the ensuing page click the 'See all' link under the amenities, do you see more than what you've posted above?HOWEVER, i'll add that even though quad occupancy throws a wrench into pricing (especially in NYC) this doesn't seem like a very good deal to me for this time of year... why not the 4* ESB property for $155 or, if you need to be downtown, the 4* Downtown property for $166 (both are rated and higher and priced less)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.PS- please update/follow-up your previous Priceline Miami thread with your current thoughts or any decisions that you have made for that trip. Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Jessismama Posted December 31, 2012 Author Report Posted December 31, 2012 Thank you for your help. I go back and saw this amenities:Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Did you see, that i need a room for 2 adults AND 2 kids? If i look for a room only for 2 adults, i get an different list. Both 4 * Hotels you see, i don't see.If i understand you right (you know my bad english :-))its better for us to wait a little bit longer to get better deals. Right?Thank your again for help.Jessismama
thereuare Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 I don't see either hotel now either, but pretty sure i searched 2a/2c last nite since i was aware of the situation.I can't say if rates will come down between now and your stay, but given that this is generally a slow time of year in NYC, i don't see any need to compromise on location (ideally you want to be in midtown, not downtown) and i would think you should be able to do a bit better on price, but as also noted above, any time you're looking at quad occupancy in NYC it can really negate the way things typically work. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Jessismama Posted January 1, 2013 Author Report Posted January 1, 2013 Sure, Midtown area will be better, but at this moment i have booked a hotel room at the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, New York City in Queens, NY 4034 Crescent Street Long Island City, NY 11101to have an back up. I know, that i have much time until August, so i wait a little. I come back to the board, if there is something new. Thank you for your help.Regards JessismamaBtw. at this moment there is nothing new on our Miami Trip. If its changed, i update the thread.
thereuare Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 What is the rate at your back-up hotel? Did you 'declare' quad occupancy for that room?Btw. at this moment there is nothing new on our Miami Trip. If its changed, i update the thread. Please update whenever a decision is reached, even if it is not thru PRICELINE or HOTWIRE.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks.
