lairyness Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 Hi everyone,I'm completely new here and new to Priceline also. We will be in Las Vegas for 5 nights from the 6/3/13 to 6/8/13... Basically we would love a 5* hotel on the strip paying a maximum of $500 for the 5nights. Is this completely unrealistic? If it's doable, I'd be grateful for any advice on how to go about bidding. Thanks in advance for any replies/help.Megan
thereuare Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you are trying for a maximum bid price of $100 then this seems like it might be do-able... but if looking at all-in (including taxes/fees) then at current prices i'd say it's not very likely. Assuming that both Strip South and Strip North (NOTE: don't bid Strip Vicinity North unless you are comfortable with the Trump) are both acceptable and a $100 bid, i'd proceed as follows:When bidding 5* in Las Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 5* Strip North and Strip South...Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $78, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $83, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $88, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $93, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $98, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100Any questions (especially regarding and confirming your re-bid zones since you're likely new to the subject) feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes OR any questions you may have.
