TPA to FCA - Any Suggestions?

Flying March 6th, returning March 13th (flexible dates). Best price found was $597 with Priceline. Airfare has spiked almost 40% for flights headed out west in the last 3 weeks. Do you think prices will be coming down? Where would you start the bid?

Airfare can often be a roll of the dice as prices seem to move with little rhyme or reason, and there is no way to know if prices will drop in the coming weeks or move even higher.

Given the $600 retail ticket how much savings would you need to make an opaque ticket (where you don't know the flight times, layover city, length of layover, etc) worthwhile?
