gheather Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Hi there...travelling to Montreal, Quebec and need a room for 2 nights - 02/06-02/08.Can you help identify the following hotel and let me know where you'd consider it deal?Downtown Montreal hotel - 4*Amenities:Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Spa Services Thanks!
thereuare Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 If you go back to HOTWIRE and click the SHOW ME button next to this offer (the one with the price in it), then on the ensuing page click the 'See all' link under the amenities, do you see more than what you've posted above? (including any 'accessible' amenities)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
gheather Posted December 24, 2012 Author Report Posted December 24, 2012 Here is what is listed for this hotel:Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Spa Services Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroom Roll-in shower There is also a 3* in Downtown Montreal listed for $71.This Hotel features the following amenities:In-room accessibility Accessible path from the room entrance to the window, the bed and the bathroom; accessible hardware and minimal resistance to open the door; accessible temperature controls and window coverings Accessible bathroom Raised toilet, hand-held shower and grab bars at the tub and toilet Handicapped parking <amenity names only please... not descriptions> Thanks!
AaronJB Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 The 4* amenity set has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but my guess would be a slightly different amenity than than has been seen with the Le Centre Sheraton.I'm not seeing a 3* with those amenities when searching for this date. Are you still seeing it? If so, how many people are you searching for?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
gheather Posted December 24, 2012 Author Report Posted December 24, 2012 Thanks for helping with the other hotel.I'm not seeing the 3* anymore...There is a 3.5* for $84 with these amenities:Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower just trying to get the best deal...would it be better to go through PRICELINE and bid on a room?
thereuare Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 PRICELINE is usually a little cheaper then hotwire, but HOTWIRE gives you the ability to take a guess as to hotel you may receive (as well as let's you know the amenities that the hotel offers and see ratings from previous guests, which can help increase your confidence that the hotel is one of 'better' ones in the zone and/or at that star rating)What is more important to you for this stay... the lowest possible price OR having a guess as to the hotel you may receive before your purchase? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
gheather Posted December 25, 2012 Author Report Posted December 25, 2012 It's a case of getting a good hotel, for the best price. We likely won't spend a whole lot of time in the room/hotel, but still do want a clean room, and good place to sleep.
thereuare Posted December 25, 2012 Report Posted December 25, 2012 What is more important to you for this stay... the lowest possible price OR having a guess as to the hotel you may receive before your purchase????How would you answer the question above? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. gheather Posted December 26, 2012 Author Report Posted December 26, 2012 when it comes down to just those options - lowest price I guess.
thereuare Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 Then it would be best go move forward with PRICELINE...Which zones, by PRICELINE name, are you willing to accept and what is your maximum bid for this trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
