I first tried bidding $39 for Oakbrook & Elmurst together and was denied for 2 1/2 stars. I added Willowbrook @ $42 for 2 1/2 stars + my bid was accepted in the area I really wanted, Oak brook.

I probably should have checked out HOTWIRE because I found a hotel with 3.5* in the same area for $86.95 including taxes. compared to the $101.73 i paid for this hotel. I got a hotel for a friend who wanted me to help immediately. Could have been better, but not bad.

I'm sure your friend is pleased none-the-less... still much less than s/he could have gotten anyplace else! Those that want help "immediately" usually just want a good deal, and not as concerned leaveing a nickel or two on the table, so they got what they wanted.
