I have been bidding for a 4* in the Millenium Park - Loop area for 21 -24 May 2013. I started at $85 and am now at $110. Am I trying to early? Or should I try bid higher?

Thanks

The National Restaurant Association show ends on the 21st and that is one of the biggest conventions of the year - there may be people staying a day extra. The Spring period is always generally busy with nicer weather, the start of baseball and other things, as well.

What would be your desired budget per night?

Thanks for the response. Well, I was hoping on $110 max but can go higher if need be. Do you think it would be worth going higher or perhaps waiting a while (a month or two maybe) and trying again?

Thanks for the help

Given the rates I'm seeing, I'm guessing a 4* will likely require more in the $125-140 neighborhood, which - for late May - would not be that unusual. Still, you have a lot of time. You could use a ceiling - $125 - and bid up to that level every 5-7 days for 2-3 months. If nothing accepts by that point, you could consider boosting your bids or lowering the star rating.

Additionally, would the River North-NMA area also be acceptable?
