Priceline Hotel: 2* Ottawa - Hull (Gloucester) Comfort Inn

I usually stay at the Kanata (Ottawa -West) Comfort Inn for $28, but thought I'd widen my search to include all four areas of Ottawa.

Glad I looked closely at my win - it was at the Comfort Inn all right, and at $28, but it was at the Ottawa-East location (next to St Laurent mall about 10 miles away from the Kanata location). No free continental breakfast, but overall a little better location for us.

Wonder if the Stones will be staying there too (they play in Ottawa on the 28th) :)

I had bid $25 on all zones three days earlier, and got a re-bid offer for $31 that I didn't use.

Waited the three days and the was successful at $28 - and yes, its the Comfort Inn on Michael Street.

I'm in the room and the hotel is OK, but was hit for a $3 "destination marketing fee" at check-in. I've stayed in Ottawa quite a few times,but never got hit with that before .... an isolated occurance?

Nope, the "destination marketing fee" is part of about 1/2 of my PL hotel bills.

You may have avoided it in the past by being in Kanata.
