millery Posted December 16, 2012 Author Report Posted December 16, 2012 the date is 04/22/13 - 04/28/13desired budget per night -150$ (excl. tax)Any zone in Manhattan south of central park is workable: 9. Lower East Side 3. Chelsea Area 6. Empire State Building 10. Madison Square Garden - Convention Area 16. Times Square 12. Midtown West 11. Midtown east 2. Central park southIs the price up to 150$ unrealistic for a 4*?Should I wait until January and rebid later? Thanks for your help
thereuare Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages.Any zone in Manhattan south of central park is workable...You didn't include 'Downtown-Financial' in your list of acceptable hotels, but this is of course south of Central Park... is this an acceptable zone?Is the price up to 150$ unrealistic for a 4*?I'm guessing $150 will likely fall short... seasonally this is one of the more expensive times of year in NYC. Currently i think you're more likely looking in the ~$200 area. Using MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable 4* hotel for these dates? Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option?Should I wait until January and rebid later? If unsuccessful up to $150, is your future gameplan to raise your bid amount OR lower your star rating? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
