golf4life80 Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 Hi, I need help IDing a 4* hotel in Chicago (Magnificent Mile - River North) area.1 night, 2 people12/15-12/16Ammenities:Indoor pool(s)Fitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-Speed Internet AccessAccessible for the blindAccessible for the deafAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomRoll-in showerThis seems very close to the Hilton I've seen in other threads, but not including Handicap Parking.I used the HOTWIRE link to search. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 I'm not seeing a 4* listing with this amenity set in the MM-River North zone when searching for this date - are you still seeing it when searching? Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
golf4life80 Posted December 12, 2012 Author Report Posted December 12, 2012 You are correct, my mistake. I pasted the incorrect location. It is actually the Millennium Park - Grant Park area, for $96. I don't see an edit button.
golf4life80 Posted December 12, 2012 Author Report Posted December 12, 2012 I ended up booking from the HOTWIRE link here. Before I posted this, the price was $102, it came down to $96, but then went back up. I was pretty certain it would be the Hilton Chicago and I was correct.
AaronJB Posted December 12, 2012 Report Posted December 12, 2012 Congrats on your success.Solid win for this historic Hilton property next to Grant Park. Hope you are looking forward to your stay.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
golf4life80 Posted December 12, 2012 Author Report Posted December 12, 2012 Thanks. I have never stayed there but I'm sure we'll like it. I chose it based on location, as we'll be going to the Bears game Sunday.
AaronJB Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 Definitely a solid choice for going to the Bears game. While upgrades are paid and HOTWIRE reservations are not eligible, I'd suggest trying to ask for a room facing the park. Worst they can say is no.Enjoy your stay.
Aquapacata Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 I got the Hilton for $80 1/2/13-1/6/13, one adult and two children, buying last night. Checking again today for two adults 1/3/13-1/6/13, the price had dropped to $79, accessed through Better Bidding. Then I called a friend and got her to search, and when she searched for 2 rooms and 5 adults, also 1/3-6/13, the price quoted was $105/room. Then she re-searched for just one room with two adults, and the price was $83. Looks like the price goes up when you look for two rooms!
