Soco15 Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 I've been trying for a few days to get a Resort at Vail from 2/1 to 2/6/13. Not that I need to be in a really nice hotel, I just want to be walking distance from the lifts.I started at $190, and have been increasing by $10 increments up till $220, but still no dice.Priceline has a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for $268 for a 4* hotel in the Vail area (not Resort level) with the following amenities:PoolRestaurantBusiness CenterCasinoFitness CenterWhat hotel in Vail has a Casino?? I went on oyster.com which identified two hotels with casinos, but when I called them both, neither said they had a casino. Can anyone help me identify this hotel?

thereuare Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread.PRICELINE lists casino as an amenity for the The Arrabelle At Vail Square, but this would seem to be a BIG discount if the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal is this property. If you wanted to try this selection, and since this is an extended stay, I would see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. Are you willing to drop your star level down to 3* at this time (or would you sooner first try bidding for a 3* on PRICELINE) OR are you willing to spend $334/nite for a room (or would you first try bidding higher on PRICELINE)?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Soco15 Posted December 8, 2012 Author Report Posted December 8, 2012 Thanks for the info!I called the Arrabelle and they do not actually have a casino. In fact, I asked around and no one seems to know any Vail hotels that have a casino. Arrabelle looks like a great hotel. But let's say I buy the express deal and it isn't the Arrabelle. If the hotel I get does not have a casino, would I have grounds to get a refund from Priceline, saying that they promised a casino in my hotel, and they didn't deliver on that promise?
Soco15 Posted December 8, 2012 Author Report Posted December 8, 2012 Never mind. I got the Arrabelle Resort! The price crept up to $272 but still a good deal for a $700+ hotel!I used the PRICELINE link to buy my hotel! Don't forget to use the link. Thanks, Betterbidding!
AaronJB Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 Congrats on your success.Awesome deal for this very highly reviewed property! If this property does not in fact have a casino on the grounds, I'd call PRICELINE and see what they say regarding an amenity not available at the hotel itself.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
