Well, this worked out perfectly.

After searching again on BiddingHelper.com, I just saw this listing come up on HOTWIRE. I correctly guessed the hotel.

* There aren't many hotels in this zone in the first place. This is the only 3.5* I've seen in the zone.

* This was the first hotel listed in the "Get a Hotel like" list.

* TripAdvisor rating was 5.0 of 5.0, aligning with the rave reviews it has received in the couple of weeks that the hotel has been open.

Had backup reservations here for $164 and at Swissotel for $196.

I booked the night of 01/01 first, since it was cheaper ($133) than booking them together. I guess hotwire always takes the most expensive night and applies it to every night in your stay. After I won that, then I went back and used the "Add a Night" to add the night of 12/31, which was $142. Hey, $9 is $9. Also, if I had been unpleasantly surprised, this would have been a way to minimize the loss by booking only one night first.

Very happy and very pleased to report this brand spanking, new well-reviewed hotel in this up-and-coming quarter of Zurich.
