miken168 Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 Hi There,Am a new member to this forum board but am amazed by how helpful this forum is! I am trying to book a room in the venetian from 12/16 - 12/18 of this year.I've seen people get the $99 rate via priceline, but the best rate I've gotten so far has been $149. Would you happen to be able to help me get the $99 rate? Or do I just have to wait till that date gets closer? Your help would be much appreciated!!!- Mike
thereuare Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding! It sounds like you are looking at the "shop and compare" service (thru Priceline) rather than the "name your own price". The 5* rate for $99 is only seen thru the "Name Your Own Price" side of the business. (do i have it right, you're looking at the "shop and compare" where prices and the name of the hotel are given to you?)If so, you need to try the "Name Your Own Price" service in order to try for a 5* at $99.I would try first selecting 5* and bid $99... it may be early but it's a slow time in Vegas and rates are cheap. If that bid is rejected post back as to how high you're willing to bid and we'll advise of a more detailed strategy that goes up to your bidding amount). If you're not sure of how to get to the "name your own price" post back. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
