timnkath Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Don't know if you count these type of Priceline transactions or not. We are going to drive from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale this weekend. I already booked 2 rooms in a hotel in Vero Beach (did not use Priceline or Hotwire)to spend Saturday night. Total for both rooms was approximately $175.I received an email from Priceline that they had some express deals in the Orlando area. I picked a 3 star for the Universal Orlando Resort Area - Intl. Drive North area for $52 per room because it for sure had all the amenities I was interested in... free parking, free breakfast, and free internet. The hotel ended up being the Hyatt Place Orlando Universal. Just checked the Hyatt website and the rooms are $109 each plus tax and fees. Total drive out price for the hotel we booked through Priceline was $125.34 including taxes and fees for 2 rooms... a savings of around $50 less than the original hotel we booked.Just thought I would share.Tim
