Don't know if you count these type of Priceline transactions or not. We are going to drive from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale this weekend. I already booked 2 rooms in a hotel in Vero Beach (did not use Priceline or Hotwire)to spend Saturday night. Total for both rooms was approximately $175.

I received an email from Priceline that they had some express deals in the Orlando area. I picked a 3 star for the Universal Orlando Resort Area - Intl. Drive North area for $52 per room because it for sure had all the amenities I was interested in... free parking, free breakfast, and free internet. The hotel ended up being the Hyatt Place Orlando Universal. Just checked the Hyatt website and the rooms are $109 each plus tax and fees. Total drive out price for the hotel we booked through Priceline was $125.34 including taxes and fees for 2 rooms... a savings of around $50 less than the original hotel we booked.

Just thought I would share.
