Unfortunately, this night falls within one of the busiest periods (12/1-15 or so) of the year, with holiday shopping and festivities. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?

If you have any luck please post your results. I am looking for a hotel for the same date.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Please post the details of your stay (date/s, desired budget/star rating/zone) as a new thread and we would be happy to offer suggestions on how to proceed.

Best guess for this property would be the Hotel Pennsylvania (which unfortunately would be consistent with the very low 45% user recommendation from previous HOTWIRE guests... as well as consistent with the very good 4.5/5.0 location rating, as this hotel is located directly across the street from Madison Square Garden)

Not sure your needs for this trip, but another option would be a double bedded room at the Astor on the Park which is offered HERE for $169/nite. Neither would be my first choice, and while the Astor can be a bit Spartan and not as centrally located (it's a bit north), it is near a subway line (B and C) and the reviews are decent.

I think there are only 2 hotels referenced above...

The Hotel Pennsylvania has a great location, but the positives stop there, as the hotel generally gets awful reviews.

The Astor on the Park has a poorer location as it's on the Upper West Side (although it is on the Park and a subway is located 3-4 blocks away), but it's a 'basic, budget, bare bones' hotel... it should offer a clean place to sleep but a small room, small bed, and the just the basic necessities.
