AaronJB Posted December 2, 2012 Report Posted December 2, 2012 Unfortunately, this night falls within one of the busiest periods (12/1-15 or so) of the year, with holiday shopping and festivities. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted December 2, 2012 Report Posted December 2, 2012 Also, to avoid any confusion, please list the zones, by PRICELINE name, that you are willing to accept... rather than the ones that you won't accept. Thanks! Omer Posted December 4, 2012 Author Report Posted December 4, 2012 Help ID in NYC - 2* - Chelsea - Madison Square Garden area hotelAmenities: Fitness Center, Restaurant(s)im searching for dates 12/8-12/9thanks
thereuare Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Best guess for this property would be the Hotel Pennsylvania (which unfortunately would be consistent with the very low 45% user recommendation from previous HOTWIRE guests... as well as consistent with the very good 4.5/5.0 location rating, as this hotel is located directly across the street from Madison Square Garden)Not sure your needs for this trip, but another option would be a double bedded room at the Astor on the Park which is offered HERE for $169/nite. Neither would be my first choice, and while the Astor can be a bit Spartan and not as centrally located (it's a bit north), it is near a subway line (B and C) and the reviews are decent. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. thereuare Posted December 5, 2012 Report Posted December 5, 2012 I think there are only 2 hotels referenced above...The Hotel Pennsylvania has a great location, but the positives stop there, as the hotel generally gets awful reviews. The Astor on the Park has a poorer location as it's on the Upper West Side (although it is on the Park and a subway is located 3-4 blocks away), but it's a 'basic, budget, bare bones' hotel... it should offer a clean place to sleep but a small room, small bed, and the just the basic necessities. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. thereuare Posted December 5, 2012 Report Posted December 5, 2012 The Hotel Penn generally gets bad reviews across the board... the Astor on the Park gets good reviews for what it is (a budget rated property). Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
