queenk Posted December 4, 2012 Author Report Posted December 4, 2012 When I look into PRICELINE for the borders of Waikiki Beach zone... and the location of HHV as per their website... it seems that HHV is outside the zone... is it?? Maybe in Waikiki marina???Thanks,I really would like to bid on a resort in Waikiki Beach area, but if I have chances to get this one, I think I won't take the chance.
Romelle Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 HHV has been reported in the Marina area. You can see this in the Hotel List right at the beginning of this Priceline - Hawaii area. If you haven't learned this yet, you can zoom in on those zone maps, clear to the street name level. It would be a good precaution to do this and double check to make sure the Priceline zone boundaries haven't changed.Romelle
thereuare Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread (if you ultimately use the 'other' service the thread will automatically be moved when you post your win using the EDIT TO REPORT WIN button on the lower right corner of the board)While the entire comlex of the Hilton Hawaiian Village doesn't rest within the Marina zone (the property is HUGE), the parts of the property that are outside of the zone don't reside within any other PRICELINE zone, so based upon the current boundaries i would think it's safe to assume that PRICELINE considers this property to be part of the Marina zone (assuming they are still participating in PRICELINE, as the hotel has not been seen in a very long time)For the HOTWIRE hotel above y best guess for the HOTWIRE property would be the Aston Waikiki Circle. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. queenk Posted December 10, 2012 Author Report Posted December 10, 2012 I am looking for a hotel centrally located in Waikiki Beach area cheaper than 190$ (regular price for Holiday Inn Beachcomber). I don't want to stay near the zoo... but used HOTWIRE several times in the past and was not disappointed. Example : I booked last year a 4* hotel in Poipu knowing that my chances to get Sheraton Waikiki was high.I think I will simply book through the hotel directly since prices for my dates are not very interesting (+ I feel it is too risky considering the larger of the waikiki beach area)
AaronJB Posted December 10, 2012 Report Posted December 10, 2012 Please go through the site's Holiday Inn Link found in our Support Page links to start your purchases and searches if you go the regular rate route. Thank you for keeping us updated on what you decide.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted December 10, 2012 Report Posted December 10, 2012 I'd also suggest our sister site, MAPS and HOTELS.com if you're looking for a hotel within a certain geographic location. Use the star rating and price filters there to easily see what is available within your desired price range, as well as how much more/less it would cost to go up/down in value OR to go higher/lower in star rating.Let us know whatever you decide to do for this trip. queenk Posted December 13, 2012 Author Report Posted December 13, 2012 Hi, Just to let you know I finally booked directly on Holiday Inn website since prices are still too high and that the advance purchase special will expire shortly.
