Looking for hotel in Hershey area for 12/17-12/20. Was looking at priceline express deal, they have 2 1/2 star hotel in hershey area with a 9/10 or higher rating and the following amenities for $55/night. what hotel could this be?

My guess would be the Country Inn and Suites...

This property does NOT have a casino on-site, and i'm not sure how PRICELINE defines the Casino amenity (a casino is ~15 minutes away from this property), but if you look HERE and click the 'amenities' tab you'll see that they list a Casino.

i used the PRICELINE link here and took another look at this offer and the area. For name your own price, "hershey area" I bid on a 3 star with Guaranteed Amenities: Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Fitness Center, Free Parking, Free Internet, Free Breakfast, Business Center, Guest Score 8/10 or Higher. (what could this hotel be in the hershey area?)

I bid $45 for 12/17-12/20 rejected

also $50 and changed date to 12/17-12/19 also rejected

any tips??

When bidding on the 'Name Your Own Price' side of PRICELINE's service, the guaranteed amenities are amenities that are present at every hotel in the zone at that star rating... not a specific hotel that you're bidding on. So if 'Restaurant' is shown, it's because every hotel at that star rating in the zone has a Restaurant, not because you're bidding on a specific hotel that has a Restaurant... at this point in the bidding process PRICELINE has not even checked for inventory at any hotels.

using either priceline express deal, or name your price, from your experience in the past, do they usually allow 3 people to a room, are hotels willing to accommodate such requests?

I see they say up to 2 adults per room, and special accommodation requests need to be made to hotels but from you guys' past experience have you been able to easily make such requests and have them accept? Particularly since mid December in this area seems to be low season.

The hotel *likely* will not have an issue with more than 2 people in the room, but the issue is that only one bed is guaranteed. You can request two beds via the hotel, but they can say no or charge more. If you have more than 3 in the party and need some sort of bedding for the whole party, HOTWIRE is a better choice.

There are never any guarantees, but the fact that it is low season helps your case, as does the fact that hotels in this area are used to accommodating families and they build/configure their rooms according, with a higher than usual percentage of rooms with more then one bed. Much easier then in a large city (NYC, Chicago, etc) where space is expensive and at a premium and more rooms are build with only one bed.

I moved to hotwire as I think it will be better since I definitely need a room that will accommodate 3 people. Do you have any idea what this might be:
