JohnW
OK, I admit it ... I lost patience and gave in to Priceline's counter offer. Too much to do between now and then and I wanted to check this one off the list. Still, I think we did well. With only one 4-star hotel on both the Priceline and Hotwire lists, it's no mystery which hotel you're bidding on - The Westin that's connected to the McNamara Terminal (aka "Delta's World"). And as we're flying Delta - bonus!Bidding history:11/23 $5611/23 $58 (added Southgate to enable second bid)11/25 $6011/25 $62 (added Southgate again)11/26 $64At which point I accepted Priceline's counter offer of $78. I checked Hotwire before bidding - they're currently at $88. (Last night they were $99.) On the Westin website, cheapest rate is $125. All of these numbers are prior to taxes and fees, of course. Priceline's bottom line: $96.26. Hotwire: $107.73. Westin website: $142.50. Link to comment
