fonosspenha Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 I wanted to write this topic for everybody to know that the strategy of choosing an area that doesn't have any hotel with the star rating that you want just to be able to increase your bid in another area that you want, didn't work for me at all. I ended up with a very bad deal. I was bidding to stay in Las Vegas Strip North or South in a 4* hotel. As my biddings weren't accepted, I included Summerlin area that didn't have any 4* hotel (maximum 3 1/2* ) and my bid WAS ACCEPTED IN THIS AREA. I tried to talk to Priceline about this that, in my opinion, was a mistake but they said that they would do nothing about it. Watch out if you're using this strategy to increase your bid. It seems to me that PRICELINE has learned how to do GREAT DEALS for themselves in a tricky way.
AaronJB Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding.Sorry to hear that the result is a disappointment. :( PRICELINE can upgrade to a higher star rating at any time, and the resort level is higher than 4* on PRICELINE's scale. Hope the hotel will still work out okay for your travel plans.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
