Ginamaria Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 Hotwire has a price of $173 for a 4* in Times Square for next week, Sunday Dec. 2nd for 1 night. Amenities include 4-star Hotel in Times Square - Theatre DistrictSmoke Free Rooms Guest rooms at this hotel are always smoke-free.Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply.Restaurant(s) Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary.High-Speed Internet Access Am wondering if anyone else has recently booked this offer and what hotels they received? I typically book directly with the hotels in NYC. This would be a first for me, and I'm a bit hesistant.
AaronJB Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)This amenity set would be a possible match for the Algonquin.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Ginamaria Posted November 24, 2012 Author Report Posted November 24, 2012 Is there a way to go about getting something nicer? Is Priceline a better bet?
AaronJB Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 With PRICELINE, if you bid for (to use an example) 4* in PRICELINE's Times Square-Theater District zone, you have to be willing to accept *any* of the 4*'s in that zone, and there is no way to ensure a particular property or increase the odds of one. PRICELINE is cheaper, but more opaque.HOTWIRE is a better choice if you want to try (or at least have a better chance of, as there's no guarantees) to find something more to your liking. Are there any other listings of interest? Listings may change between now and your stay. I'd suggest searching for 2 adults and 2 children (which sometimes - not always - results in different listings appearing) but in NYC, searching for 2 adults and 2 children often results in higher rates as well.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
