I won the Andaz Hotel in the San Diego- Gaslamp/Convention Center area. I entered this win under the only City Zone I could find that kind of fits the area: Downtown/Shelter Island. I could have read it wrong, but I noticed the Gaslamp/Convention Center area is also not noted on the “pinned list” and all of the areas hotels are lumped into the The Downtown/Shelter Island category. The Downtown/Shelter Island appears to cover Shelter Island and the area above Broadway (like the US Grant. Any lower than Broadway is on the map as Gaslamp/Convention Center area.

I love this hotel (despite it's lack of a closet) and I am looking forward to staying there at the low rate of $72! I started bidding with 4* Gaslamp/Convention Center at $60, a pop-up said some won a 4* in Gaslamp/Convention Center for $83 three hours ago. My $60 was rejected so I added surrounding areas (El Cajon, Escondido, Hillcrest, La Mesa) while increasing my bid in small increments. After my $68 bid, I received an offer to buy a *4 for $85. I declined, increased my bid and won at $72 + taxes and fees.

This area has recently been re-zoned (with the addition of the Gaslamp zones) and as soon as we finish some work on the back-end that we've been consumed with we'll update the hotel lists throughout the board where the zones have been reclassified.
