drphilth Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Saw previous bids for around $75 - $85 and nothing on hotwire or on standard booking sites at anywhere close to this price. Decided to give it a go anyway. As always, used your PRICELINE quick quote box to begin. At resort level, had 1 free rebid (Hilo)Started at $80. Counter offer $96. Declined the counterbid offer.Added "Hilo" rebid zone. Bid $85. Accepted.Price Breakdown:Room Cost: $85.00 (USD)Room Subtotal: $425.00 (USD)Taxes and Fees: $71.60 (USD)Total Room Cost: $496.60 (USD)[/code]I assume I'll have to pay a resort fee on top of what I've paid priceline. I will update this thread with the details after my trip.

drphilth Posted December 23, 2012 Author Report Posted December 23, 2012 So, a brief trip report:PRICELINE mentioned pointedly on checkinRoom not cleaned on the first day.Facilities were fine, food and drink were expensive for what you got.$25 plus tax resort fee per night. This supposedly covers:Internet AccessParking (Valet Parking is $7 extra per night)Unlimited local + 1800 calls30 mins of domestic / intl callsUse of the trolley to Kona2 bottles of water / daySome activities (calendar provided on checkin)
thereuare Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 Thanks for the follow-up!Sorry to hear this stay was a bit mixed, but hopefully the service issues improved after the first day and the $85 room rate was a decent value for the area.
