coloparker Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 I'm confused. The priceline hotel list for New Providence Island shows two hotels in the 3.5* category: the British Colonial Hilton and the Sheraton. However, when I click the priceline quick quote link in the upper right corner it shows 7+ hotels in the 3.5* range on New Providence/Paradise Island area. My dates are March 22 - March 25, 2013. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for your help.
thereuare Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages.TWO POINTS:1) the 7+ refers to the minimum user review rating of the hotel you will receive, not the number of hotels offered in the zone2) even if it did refer to the number of hotels in the zone, see the comments at the top of the Priceline Hotel List. The hotel lists only contain hotels reported to the board... there could always be more than what you see in our hotel lists. Are you ready to bid for this trip now? What is your expected budget per nite (before taxes/fees)? Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. coloparker Posted November 22, 2012 Author Report Posted November 22, 2012 Just got the Sheraton Beach Resort for $95.00 on my first bid! Yea!
AaronJB Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Congrats on your success.Solid deal for this Sheraton property! Hope you are pleased with the win and are looking forward to your stay.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
thereuare Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 This is a very nice hotel with 3 different pools and a nice beach area, but note that food on-site is very expensive. The local bus (vans actually) are fairly inexpensive and pick-up/drop-off on the street right in front of the hotel... you can take these to 'downtown' by the straw market to find more reasonable eats and/or pick-up some snack items to keep in your room.Have a great trip!
