hopeland Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 Rates are a little higher on this weekend than others for some reason, but considering the retail rates this is still a good deal.* As always, used BiddingHelper.com.com to place all bids.* Began bidding at $115 4* Beverly Hills - West Hollywood only.* Rebid in increments of $10 up to $155. From there bid in increments of $5.* Bid accepted at $165 w/no counteroffers.* Going retail rates in this area were all $200+.* Hotwire rate for a 4* Westwood/Century City for $172. Amenities mostly matched the Palomar (which was my first choice) but could have been the Angeleno (my last choice). The zones in this area aren't aligned between Hotwire and Priceline. Century City hotels (Intercontinental + Hyatt Regency) are in Westwood on Hotwire, but Beverly Hills/WeHo on Priceline. That is why I opted not to bid on Westwood on Priceline even though my 1st choice (Palomar) was in that zone. I would rather definitely not get my 1st choice, than to possibly get my absolute last choice (Angeleno).
