nnn Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 Priceline rejected bids up to $140. Finally won with a bid of $140.
AEmgee Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 This property used to be won for $75 :) Lowest prices on Marriott.com for your dates is AU$250 (US$190) with a government rate. Before thereuare gets a chance to ask, what as your highest bid prior to the win?I've been trying for January 5-8 up to $132, but holding off because I was hoping the prices would drop as I still have a good 4+ months. However, it may be that ~$135-140 is the entry point for this particular Marriott now.

nnn Posted August 23, 2005 Author Report Posted August 23, 2005 We were rejected at $130 twice, months apart. We could have tried $135, but we didn't feel like spending any more time to save $20 overall.
thereuare Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 So just to clarify, did you bid $130 immediately before being accepted at $140, or was the $130 bid made days/weeks/months prior?
