Priceline Hotel: Bidding help - 4 star Nov 29 - Dec 4

Hi- I'm trying to get a 4 star in NYC from Nov 29 - Dec 4, ideally for around 130 a night. I tried last night as follows:

Midtown East $120

Added Midtown west $121

Added Times Square $125

Added CPW $135

Added Empire State $136

Added Soho/Tribeca $140

And no luck!

Any advice on strategy to try again today?

Seasonally this is one of the busiest weekends in NYC and based upon current rates $130 is not in the right ballpark for a 4* hotel. It's possible that rates could come down in the next week if hotels get a surge of unexpected cancellations (or fewer new reservations then expected) but given the high demand dates i don't think this is something that you can count on.

Do you have a back-up reservation anyplace? Using MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable 4* hotel in one of the zones you're bidding?
