Traveller 2013 Posted November 23, 2012 Author Report Posted November 23, 2012 Hi everybody!Today, I was browsing the web and I found a blog where people complain so bad about Priceline. Please, take a look:http://www.parkrideflyusa.com/blog/2008/04/2/why-hotels-hate-priceline-guests-other-dirty-little-secrets/Do you guys agree with those opinions? I recently booked a few hotels through Priceline, and after reading that I confess I got worried. Thanks.
Romelle Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 No, I really don't agree. I've booked dozens of Priceline hotels. My experience has alway ranged from "satisfactory" to "WOW, did I get lucky this time". My most recent experience was in Budapest and at the front desk they simply told me they were upgrading me. I've no idea why. I had a panoramic view of the Daube river - sunrise, fascinating river traffic during the day, and incredible lighted bridges/boats/opposite shore at night. I did get a handicapped room once (I'm not qualified for it), but other than some grab bars, wider doorways and a walk-in shower it was just a fine hotel room. Romelle
Romelle Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 Some kind member here provided a review of the hotel you received. If you haven't found the Hotel Review area yet, it is way at the end of this site. And maybe you'd consider providing a review after your stay? Sometimes the reviews can help other members either choose or avoid a zone or star level. Or just learn a little about the hotel and its surrounding transportation/food/sights/??Maybe times I've been really appreciative of someone ahead of me providing detailed directions or mentioning a good close local restaurant. Or even just a tip on handing some tricky heat/air controls.Romelle
