I'm a member, not an official but I can get you started while you await your official welcome.

If you scroll down a little bit you can see the various states listed. Right at the beginning of each state area is a listing of all hotels members have reported here. Two parts to it, one for Priceline and one for Hotwire.

Also, if you pull down the Tools menu - directly above - there is a "Calendar of Wins". By putting in your dates and your city you can see if others have reported successful bids or purchases.

And way at the end of this site are member submitted reviews. While tripadvisor is a wonderful hotel review source, the reviews here are also interesting because they are on hotels won by Priceline bidding or by a Hotwire opaque purchase. Sometimes a little different slant when folks have gotten the rooms at bargain prices.

Rates are very date-specific, and I suspect there are a number of zones in Palm Springs. For that matter, I don't know if you are interested in PS, CA or FL? So it really isn't possible to hazard a guess as to a successful bid. For that matter, even with all the information, there are still surprises - both positive and negative.

In regards to your specific stay... what star rating are you seeking? What is your maximum bid? What are the dates of your travel?
