Xibalba Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 Started bidding low at $29 over several days (adding Casselberry and Winter Park for extra bids). Increased bid amount by $2 each day until I hit on $48.

Xibalba Posted November 15, 2012 Author Report Posted November 15, 2012 Oh yeah, and it looks like they bumped this property down from a 3.5 star (?)

JoelW Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Oh yeah, and it looks like they bumped this property down from a 3.5 star (?)If that is the resort on S. Apopka Vineland Rd. (SR 535), then I believe that is a warranted change. We stayed there last weekend and won the hotel when it was 3.5*. It is a nice property but it is definitely not 0.5* below other properties like the Rosen Shingle Creek and I don't think it is on the same level as the other 3.5* properties in LBV like the Doubletree and LBV Palace. We had a great stay but I fully agree with the drop in ranking. I was very close to posting a review after our stay just to state that I was disappointed with the rating. Again, it's a very nice property, but it definitely belongs in the 3* category for Lake Buena Vista. Enjoy your stay!
Xibalba Posted January 30, 2013 Author Report Posted January 30, 2013 I agree with you Joel--nice property and staff, but not really on the same level as the other places you mentioned. And as some people might not be aware of, there is a $15 resort fee with this place even though I'd hesitate to call it a true "resort" per se.
