Zani
I had $10 of bonus money (additional $10/night for 5 nights, based on the downgrading of a Priceline hotel a month after I stayed there). First bid of $45 (Cathedral Hill) was rejected. Added USW and bid $50, rejected. Added USE and bid $55, accepted.Congratulations, you got your price of $55 for a 3-star hotel room.Holiday Inn Golden GatewayCathedral Hill1500 Van Ness Ave.San Francisco, California 94109415-441-4000Check-In Date: Tue, September 27 2005Check-In Time: After 04:00 PM Check-Out Date: Sun, October 2, 2005 Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM Your Offer Price: $55.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 5Subtotal: $275.00Taxes andService Fees: $49.20Total Charges: $324.20*******I made the above bid about 4 days ago. Yesterday I went through many iterations of unsuccessful bids for subsets of the 9/27 - 10/2 time period (I could use a second room for some or all of the time, but I don't need one, so I can afford to lowball). Rather than post each as a separate topic, here's the overview:9/27 - 10/2 (Cathedral Hill, USW, USE, FW)3* failed up to $512.5* failed up to $479/28 - 10/2 (Cathedral Hill, USW, USE, FW)2.5* failed up to $459/28 - 10/1 (Cathedral Hill, USW, USE, FW)3* failed up to $502.5* failed up to $459/28 - 9/30 (Cathedral Hill, USW, USE, FW)3* failed up to $502.5* failed up to $46 Link to comment
thereuare
... and the hotel is showing sold-out for these dates as well. That could easily explain the higher required bid than the other nites.
