I was expecting to get the Holiday Inn Express that has a published rate under $80 for my dates, but go figure, Priceline gets me the Residence Inn whose published rate is $139... Not complaining - Residence Inn suits me just fine.

What I don't understand is why Priceline refused to give me 5 nights (tried up to $50) when the Residence Inn published rate for 5 nights is even lower - $129.

Hotel management isn't flawless, and i'm sure sometimes they put erroneous rates into the system (higher or lower than they're supposed to) and sometimes forget to load any rate... or there could be something lese at work here. It's also possible that they hotel, for whatever reason, doesn't want to give too long of an extended stay to the opaque providers.

If not already booked (elsewhere) you may want to try again in a few days as well.
