kevin28282 Posted November 12, 2012 Report Posted November 12, 2012 Hi,Need some help in finding a hotel room around the West Hollywood region for 12/29-12/30 (one night). Would like to have 4 stars or higher and keep it under $150. Think its possible? Also, I'll be getting a hotel around Disneyland for 12/27-12/29...was thinking of snagging the Hilton for $140 off their website...or do you think I can get a better price using priceline? Would like to keep it near Disneyland and 3.5* or higher. Thanks!-Kevin

kevin28282 Posted November 13, 2012 Author Report Posted November 13, 2012 Done and Done. Will keep this thread for the Beverly Hills / West Hollywood (10/29-10/30). Not sure if $150 is possible for that night... Appreciate any advice!Noted on the Hilton affiliation, will take a look. Thanks,Kevin
thereuare Posted November 13, 2012 Report Posted November 13, 2012 Will keep this thread for the Beverly Hills / West Hollywood (10/29-10/30).I assume you mean December 29-30?If so, at current rates i think at 4* hotel in this zone will cost more than $150/nite... if you want to give it a try anyway, is this the only zone acceptable or is the 'Hollywood' zone acceptable as well? If 4* is rejected up to $150, do you want to:1) wait it out and hope for lower rates in the weeks ahead2) raise your maximum bid3) lower your star rating ($150 may be enough for a 3* or 3.5* property)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. kevin28282 Posted November 13, 2012 Author Report Posted November 13, 2012 Hi,Yes, December 29-30th. I think I may want to wait it out...I can raise it to about $175. I'd like to keep it in that vicinity and keep it above 4 stars. Thanks!
thereuare Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 I think I may want to wait it out...I can raise it to about $175.Are you keeping your bids at $150 for now or up to $175? Do you have a bidding strategy or need one to follow? Is 'Hollywood' also acceptable or only the West Hollywood/Beverly Hills zone? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. kevin28282 Posted November 21, 2012 Author Report Posted November 21, 2012 Sorry for the late reply. I'm trying to keep it at $150. If you could provide a bidding strategy that would be much appreciated. Would like to keep it at West Hollywood/BH and Hollywood for now. I saw on a earlier post that someone got the W in Hollywood for 120! That would be perfect. Thanks,Kevin
