Hotwire Hotel: 4* Boston (Cambridge) Royal Sonesta

Amenities: Indoor pool, Spa, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet Access.

I knew from the prior posts that the 4 star hotels with spas in Cambridge were the Royal Sonesta and the Hyatt Cambridge, and figured this would be the Sonesta. Enjoyed the stay, though parking was an additional $27 per nite. Rooms were somewhat small (European feel), and looked out over the Charles. We were in the older (East) tower. Only negative was that our second night it was cold outside (30 degrees) and the hotel had yet to switch from A/C to heat, so when we came back to our room it was freezing. However, maintenance came quickly and fixed the problem, though it did take 30 minutes or so. Important if the forecast calls for rain, each room has 2 umbrellas.

The hotel is across from a mall that has a Macys, Cheesecake Factory, and a Starbucks. Easy access to Kendall Square (about a 10 minute walk), MIT, and numerous biotechs in East Cambridge, as well as the Museum of Science.
