Gotcha. OK, will click on the links for my searches too. I went ahead and clicked on the links as you suggested...

I'm looking to stay in the most attractive hotel at the lowest possible price. I may be willing to pay the $367 for that 5* Downtown-SoHo-Financial District area property but I would like to have a good idea of what hotel it could be before I do so. Then, if I'm not too excited about that 5* hotel, I may opt for one of the cheaper options, either 3.5* or 4* out of the ones I mentioned to you. I just want to have a good idea of what those hotels could be before I decide which one I'm going to pay for... Thanks.

I'm not sure of the 5* property... the Andaz, Ritz Carlton or Conrad would all be among the possibilities, but there could be others as well. With a 4.5/5.0 TA rating and 95% recommendation from previous HOTWIRE guests i wouldn't be too concerned with quality.

Given this is a one nite stay i assume you're somewhat local/familiar with NYC... is there a reason you're avoiding the midtown area(s) as these are typically the most popular and centrally located for the average user. Ordinarily i'd think that perhaps your plans require you to be downtown, but apparently you're also looking at the Upper East and Upper West zones, which is far from Downtown, and seldom looked at by most of our users.

Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.

OK, I decided to go for the more economic options. So out of the list above, please help me identify these two properties:

Boutique Hotel

Restaurant(s)

Laundry Facilities (self-service)

- 3.5* Central Park West area hotel for $263. Recommended in 95% of Hotwire customer reviews. Amenities:

Smoke Free Rooms

Fitness Center

Business Center

High-Speed Internet Access

Wheelchair accessible

Thanks.

3.5* ESB amenity set would be a possible match for the King and Grove. The 3.5* Central Park has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board; I'd guess a new amenity set for the Belleclaire may be a possibility, but it may be something else, as well.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Went with the 3.5* Empire State Building area hotel for $264 and got the King & Grove New York. Looks like a chic boutique hotel in a great location. Happy with price and results. Thanks for your help.
