shirlys1234 Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 I am looking to make a reservation for a room for 3 people in NYC. Can I do it through priceline and then call directly to the hotel to change the reservation (for 2 queen beds for example)or will that be a big risk? Thanks!
AaronJB Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)PRICELINE only guarantees one bed/double occupancy. Given NYC's small/very small rooms, two beds often go for a premium - using PRICELINE for two beds in NYC is a big risk, as it's likely the hotel will say no to an upgrade or may charge more. There's no way to know in advance, and it may depend on the day. In NYC, I'd rather suggest searching on HOTWIRE, where you can indicate the amount of people in the party and ensure some sort of bedding (2, 1 + sofa or 1 + rollaway) for the entire party. Please let us know your thoughts and we would be happy to offer suggestions on how to proceed.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
