sterzen Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 I've used this site in the past for bidding help and have had great success...this time I'm stumped. Following the advice on your site, I've been bidding on a 3 star hotel in South Beach and noticed many users have had success with $40 - Holiday Inn. After several attempts and bidding as high as $57 I'm constantly being rejected. I plan to be there for the Sept 30th weekend (2 nights). Is there soemthing I should know about this weekend? and ideas as to why my bids have been unsuccessful? Thanks,
sterzen Posted August 17, 2005 Author Report Posted August 17, 2005 Looking to get a three star hotel in south beach and have bid up to $60 and am getting rejected...after reading the numerous other posts recommending $40, I'm confused..Any ideas why the weekend of Sept 30 - Oct 3rd is commanding more money? What should I bid?
thereuare Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 You are likely not getting replies to your question because if you have "used this site in the past for bidding help and have had great success", then this shouldn't be your first thread on the board. If you've used this site before, where are the posts of your previous winning bids?If you have benefited from the information that others have posted on the board, then you should know the importance of sharing your own winning bid information in order to help others. You may want to go into your Priceline profile and post your previous win(s) to the board, and you may then find others more willing to help. sterzen Posted August 17, 2005 Author Report Posted August 17, 2005 I see...by "using the site in the past" I meant once. West Hollywood Hyatt - $74/night March 17 - 24, 2005...that's all I got. Hope this helps.

sterzen Posted August 18, 2005 Author Report Posted August 18, 2005 Max bid amount is 3 star - $65. Sept 30 - Oct 2nd.
thereuare Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 I don't think the extra $5 will make a difference... you'll likley need to bid over $70. We can suggest a strategy that only goes up to $65, but i think you would greatly increase you chances if you were able to go a bit higher.Does EasyClickTravel or Quikbook offer anything?
