melis1_1999
Hello,This is my first time using Priceline and I need some advice. I placed a bid using a link through this website. I selected Anaheim North first with a $55 bid for 3.5 star hotel for dates 11/16-11/22. It was declined so I raised the bid to $58 and added Anaheim South and added 4 star. It was also declined. Now its not giving me the option to raise the bid any more. I read that some people would add other areas far from Disneyland but would still get a hotel close to Disneyland. Do I just leave the bid where it stands and re-bid in 24 hours? Do I chance adding another area where I really would not like to stay? Thanks!!!! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! The concept that you're referring to of adding other zones is referred to as re-bidding. As you're new to the idea see this thread: Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask any question and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board (highly recommended so that you don't end up in a zone you didn't intend)When bidding 4* in the Anaheim area you have 13 such re-bid zones... at the 3.5* level you have 8 re-bid zones. Using the technique in the link above see if you can identify your re-bid zones, or if you're confused just post back with any questions and we'll break it down further for you.As well, once you have your re-bid zones understood let us know if you are willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* OR if your goal is the least expensive 3.5* or better for this trip. Also, let us know which zones you are willing to accept along with your maximum bid, we will then suggest a strategy for you to follow as you can improve upon the bidding that you have already done. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
