carpediem888
Ended up keeping and using my direct booking rate of $89 at this property since all attempts through Priceline failed. Still a lovely property with very good service across the board (it will all go into my review).Upon check-in, the front desk informed me that all of the local hotels were full this week (Monday to Thursday) for a Microsoft application developer conference. So, prior advice that bids can succeed or fail depending on local events is still very much true. After exploring the local area during the trip, I could have won the Courtyard Kirkland with no marked difference in trip quality; it took about 10 minutes to get there using local streets.I know that it is useful to have failed bids flow through so here's the bid history.Date Bid Star level Totals Areas10.17.2012 $44.00 3.5 Bellevue10.18.2012 $51.00 3.5 224.24 Bellevue10.20.2012 $56.00 3.5 Bellevue10.22.2012 $56.00 3.5 272.72 Bellevue10.23.2012 $59.00 3.5 281.88 Bellevue10.24.2012 $59.00 3.5 282 Redmond/Kirkland $61.00 3.5 291.36 Add: Bellevue10.25.2012 $61.00 3.5 Bellevue $62.00 3.5 Add: Kirkland10.27.2012 $61.00 3.5 Bellevue $62.00 3.5 Add: Redmond/Kirkland10.29.2012 $63.00 3.5 Bellevue10.30.2012 $52.00 3 249.24 Redmond/Kirkland10.31.2012 $65.00 3.5 310 Bellevue (countered at $80 but I declined) $67.00 3.5 319.32 Add: Newcastle11.1.2012 $52.00 3.5 249.24 Redmond/Kirkland Link to comment
