Priceline Hotel: Option to choose room through bidding

Hi:

I am looking for ocean front room in Maui, however while bidding I am not sure if we get to chose it? how do you guys do it?

just bid for hotel and call up later for changing room preferences?

PRICELINE reservations guarantee a non-upgraded/regular room, which is the trade-off for the discounted rates. Upgrades can be requested through the hotel, but the hotel has the right to say no or may charge more. It depends on the hotel, the day and possibly may depend on who you talk to. There is no way to choose a particular room type (upgrades, bedding or other specifics) when bidding.
