Priceline Hotel: Help needed - Pensacola

Hello,

I need to book hotel for the following dates at or near pensacola beach, florida

11/1/12 - 11/6/12

We are 4 adults.

Can you please suggest me a bidding strategy. I have no idea about this area.

Please confirm which zones on the zone map during the first step in the bidding process would be acceptable (you would be willing to accept staying anywhere within the zone) and your desired budget per night. Additionally, PRICELINE only guarantees one bed/double occupancy - are you willing to risk one bed? If not, I'd suggest HOTWIRE as a better option, given that you can indicate the amount of people in the party and ensure some sort of bedding for the entire party (may be 1 + sofabed, 1 + rollaway or 2 beds.)

I also need help in this area. Did the previous poster ever get a winning bid for pensacola beach, FL? I have figured out that the 3 star hotel is holiday inn resort pensacola beach and the 2.5 stars available would be holiday inn express and hampton inn both in pensacola beach. We are needing a room for Nov 9-12. I have tried bidding from $40-80 in both the 2.5 star and 3 star categories with no success. It shows the avg price for 3 star is $108 and the avg price for 2.5 star is $141. Do you have any suggestions?

I ended up getting a hotel through HOTWIRE and posted the win in the Hotwire thread
