finance67 Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 I named my own price for a hotel in New York for October 31. Flights to New York were cancelled yesterday (10/28), today (10/29), and tomorrow (10/30). If they are cancelled Oct 31, I won't make it. Name your own price says no cancellation and no refund. I wonder who gets the money? Hurricane Sandy must have interfered with name your own price reservations for hundreds (maybe thousands?) of priceline users who prepaid for New York, Boston, Philadelphia, etc. and because the airports are closed, they cannot get there. Does Priceline keep all that money or do the hotels get it? What percent of Pricelines profits do you think come from no-shows? Thanks for any insight anyone may have.
AaronJB Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. Please post the details of your win as a separate thread under the Priceline New York forum on the board. If your flights are cancelled, call PRICELINE. They have been flexible in extreme (hurricane, etc) weather cases previously.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
