MamaParrotHead
Hi! New to the forum. Wondering a few things. 1.) does it hurt my chances or better them if I try to bid on 2 rooms? 2.) does anyone have any idea on what I should bid on for a room 8/26, (and how many stars) for one night, a Friday stay (I'd love to get the Marriott-Airport, my relatives are staying there)? Thanks. thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!1) Generally bidding for more than one room does not hurt your chances... the only way it does is if the only hotel offering a hotel at your price only has one room available for purchase (at which point Priceline can't fufill your request and will reject your bid)2) How much to bid is very dependent upon the type of accomodations (ie- star rating) you are looking for. What type of hotels do you usually stay at? What is your budget? Where would you stay, and how much would it cost, if you weren't going to use Priceline? MamaParrotHead
My ideal accomodations would be at the Marriott-Airport, which I think is a 3 star hotel. I have "back up" reservations made for $99 ($112 with taxes) there. The location (Bloomington/Airport/Mall of America area) is more important than amenities, as long as the hotel itself is clean. thereuare
I don't think the Marriott is a likley outcome, but the savings should be worth it!At the 3* level you have three re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please ask for help and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before bidding.Select 3* MSP area....Bid $38, if rejected add re-bid zone....Bid $41, if rejected add re-bid zone....Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone....Bid $50.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.PS- this board is an affiliate of the MARRIOTT and if you need to book direct please use our link to do so Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
