New York city seems to be quite complicated

Looking for a nice hotel to celebrate my engagement for nov 9-11 in the nicer areas of manhattan

Well I was hoping to get under $200 with all taxes and services charges

but that didn't happen

Now i'm unsure how high I should go

Using MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel? Using this rate as a baseline what would be your new maximum budget... or given your previous rejection(s) are you considering lowering your star rating and/or using other zones?
