The Express Deals section of PRICELINE is new and few hotels have been reported to the board; unfortunately, with common amenities showing, it's tough to narrow down this listing significantly.

Please confirm the star rating for the HOTWIRE listing.

I ended up booking today's special 4* hotel Magnificent Mile Area - River North area hotel for $100 - was the W Lakeshore. price seems to have gone up to 102 now... and it no longer says super savings. i guess i was right on the edge of super savings. that's what i like. living on the edge. thanks betterbidding!

Hi everyone - i just booked on hotwire and there's a chance i won't be able to make it now. is there any sort of refund or 'credit/exchange policy' in place? is there an easy way to make the hotel stay transferable to someone else if i had to? i'm from Canada and wasn't allowed to purchase the travel insurance... anyone have any thoughts?

turned out to be the W Lakeshore. dates are 11/1-11/4-12. price was $100/night; i'm no longer seeing that on the site though...

Any insight on cancellation or transferability of my room in case i have to cancel?

Thank you for the follow-up, although sorry to hear that you cannot use the reservation.

HOTWIRE reservations are not refundable/changeable - you can try calling HOTWIRE and pleading your case. In terms of transferring the reservation, some people have occasionally had success with that, but it's a matter of calling the hotel and politely asking if they can do anything. The hotel will either say no, tell you to call HOTWIRE (who will say no, likely) or may be willing to work something out.
