Note that with PRICELINE you can't bid for a given number of beds... all that is guaranteed is double occupancy (which could be one bed for two people)... is this acceptable?

What star rating are you bidding on? Using MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find in this area at an acceptable hotel? What is your maximum bid before you lower your star rating or book thru a non-opaque source?

I was bidding for the 3-3.5* rating, two beds is a requirement at this point. Best rate is near $125 for the area I'm looking at, Max bid would be $85

This can't be guaranteed thru PRICELINE, but there may be some workarounds... would one bed + a pullout sofabed OR rollaway work for your needs? (or is two 'true' beds required?)
