Hotwire Hotel: Hotel Help - Chicago Mag Mile 12/8, need two rooms

Hi guys - it's been awhile since I've hit up Chicago. I'm planning a girls weekend. There are five of us.

What's the best way to do this as we all want our own bed?

I'm loathe to pay rack rates, is it possible to use hotwire or priceline to get a room configuration like this:

2 Rooms - 1 with two double beds and 1 with two doubles AND a sofa bed.

If not any suggestions on hotels with suites would be appreciated. I already tried Homewood/ Comfort/ Hampton Suites, Hilton Suites and Springhill Suites. If I have to pay rack rate I'm going to go with Hilton Suites b/c of the excellent location. Are there any other hotels with suites that would be worth looking at?

We want to stay on Mag Mile and desired budget is $500 for the one night.

The occupancy can't be down with PRICELINE, but you may have an option with HOTWIRE...

Search for 3rooms/5adults/7children... this will assign quad occupancy to each room which would ensure at least two sleeping accommodations per room. Usually 'two sleeping accommodations' per room would mean two beds, but it could be one bed and one pullout sofabed (so worst case scenario you could receive a total of 3 beds and two pullout sofabeds (or rollaways)

Fortunately rates are low and the above combination of 3rooms/5adults/7kids yields 4* hotels starting at $99/nite... so well within your budget (if people willing to go a little over the $100/nite budget per person can even do 5rooms/5adults for $99/nite which would be just a little more after taxes/fees, which may be worth it to some in the group)... or try to PRICELINE 5 rooms at a lower rate.

Ok thanks for the reply - this is why I hate coordinating with a bunch of women :) Someone just backed out so our options have widened - just two rooms for the four of us.

I will start a new thread with my win should we got that route (of course using the better bidding links).

I see the W Lakeshore when searching for 4 adults and 4 children (the 4 children to indicate 4 in each room, in order to try to ensure more than 1 bed per room) for these dates on HOTWIRE for $99 per room/per night - if that is of interest, please let us know.

Thanks for the adult/kids combo tip. Is that surefire way to guarantee two beds in each room?

I'm not seeing the W deal. Is it a secret deal or under the named Hotels in hotwire?

To clarify... it ensures separate sleeping accommodations (ie- note above regarding the second bed could be a pullout sofabed, rollaway brought into the room, etc). Occasionally a hotel will get it wrong and think that all HOTWIRE reservations are for double occupancy only (as that is the way it worked when they first started, and PRICELINE still operates this way) but any issues are usually quickly resolved with a phone call to HOTWIRE.

I'm not currently seeing the $99 hotel (i believe i did earlier today) but will leave it to AaronJB to see if he still sees what was offered earlier today, and if not what else he suggests in this area based upon the current HOTWIRE offers.
