Hi there! I'm trying to win a hotel stay for 1/8/13-1/10/13. We want to stay on the strip, but since there is a consumer electronic show going on at the same time, the prices are around $300 a night. I've heard good things and want to try to win a good deal at the Golden Nugget. I don't want to pay more than $100 a night, but I obviously want to get the best deal possible. Can you tell me a good strategy to use to try and win it on priceline?

Thank you.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

When bidding on PRICELINE you can't bid on a specific hotel. While the Golden Nugget be the only 'known' 4* hotel in the Downtown zone (and the only one i can think of) there could always be others. Assuming you're willing to accept any 4* hotel in the Downtown zone, i would bid as follows:

At the 4* level you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. (NOTE: Summerlin is NOT one of them)

Select 4* Downtown...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $95

Any questions feel free to ask.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
